Trombotisk trombocytopenisk purpura (TTP)

Definisjon:
Disseminerte platetromber som skyldes mangel på en protease. Kan utløses eller forverres av kreftsykdom, infeksjoner, svangerskap, østrogentilskudd
Forekomst:
Svært sjelden tilstand. Omtrent 10/1 000 000 per år i USA
Symptomer:
Uspesifikke symptomer, inkludert magesmerter og kvalme ved debut. Cerebral og annen organdysfunksjon litt ut i forløpet. Anemi og hudblødninger
Funn:
Hudblødninger, feber, andre funn avhengig av ev. trombosering i organer som hjerne, nyrer, pankreas osv
Diagnostikk:
Anemi, trombocytopeni, hemolyse med økt LD og bilirubin (eventuelt ADAMTS-13, sendeprøve)
Behandling:
Rask plasmaferese er av stor betydning
