Definisjon:
Inflammasjon i bursa og sener ved eller ovenfor trochanter major på lateralsiden av låret
Forekomst:
Forholdsvis hyppig i allmennpraksis og en av de vanligste årsaker til hoftesmerter
Symptomer:
Smerte lokalisert lateralt i låret over trochanter major
Funn:
Kan være unormal gange, lokalisert palpasjonsømhet over trochanter
Diagnostikk:
Ingen andre undersøkelser er av diagnostisk betydning
Behandling:
Avlastning, tøyninger, ev. NSAID, ev. kortisoninjeksjoner
