Tilfredsstillende oral helse hos eldre innebærer at brukeren ikke har smerter, har akseptabel tyggefunksjon, kan kommunisere og ha grei sosial omgang uten problemer som skyldes tennene
Forekomst:
Det foreligger få undersøkelser om tannhelse hos eldre
Symptomer:
Problemer med tannhelsen kan være medvirkende til f.eks. spisevansker, kommunikasjonsvansker, smerter, eller sosial isolasjon
Funn:
Avhengig av oral helse
Diagnostikk:
Undersøkelse hos tannlege bør utføres regelmessig
