Anovulatoriske uterinblødninger

Definisjon:
Uregelmessige, kraftige, langvarige eller hyppige uterinblødninger som skyldes ovarial hormonell dysfunksjon som følge av anovulatoriske sykluser
Forekomst:
Hyppigst blant unge tenåringsjenter de første årene etter menarké og blant kvinner i alderen 38-50 år, samt kvinner med polycystisk ovariesyndrom
Symptomer:
Uregelmessige, langvarige og ofte kraftigere blødninger, føler seg frisk
Funn:
Ved gynekologisk undersøkelse er det normale funn
Diagnostikk:
Cytologi, klamydiaprøve og endometriecytologi kan være aktuelle prøver
Behandling:
Viktig med informasjon til kvinnene. Hormonell regulering er et alternativ. Kirurgi til enkelte
