Definisjon:
Hjertesvikt med ejeksjonsfraksjon < 45% i siste svangerskapsmåned eller de første 6 måneder etter nedkomst hos kvinne uten kjent hjertesykdom. Årsaken er ukjent
Forekomst:
Sjelden tilstand
Symptomer:
Akutt eller langsomt innsettende hjertesvikt med tung pust, økte plager i liggende stilling, nattlig hoste
Funn:
Takykardi, væske i lunger, forstørret lever, ev. ødemer
Diagnostikk:
NT-proBNP forhøyet i blod. Diagnosen stilles ved ekkokardiografi
Behandling:
Behandling er som ved hjertesvikt av andre årsaker
