Overflatisk tromboflebitt

Definisjon:
Trombosering av en overflatisk vene med samtidig lokal karveggsinflammasjon
Forekomst: 
Hyppig tilstand og økende med alder
Symptomer:
Medfører smerte, ømhet, indurasjon og/eller erythem i den overflatiske venen
Funn:
Ømhet, varme, rubor og lett hevelse og etterhvert pigmentforandringer, i et område som tilsvarer forløpet av en overflatisk vene - lokalisert
Diagnostikk:
Klinisk diagnose
Behandling:
Symptomatisk, lokalt eller systemisk NSAID. Antitrombotisk behandling aktuelt ved økt/høy risiko for dyp venetromtrombose
