Lipoid nekrobiose

Definisjon:
En inflammatorisk hudlidelse av ukjent årsak. Kollagen degenerasjon gir en granulomatøs respons med fortykkede karvegger og fettavleiringer på forsiden av leggene
Forekomst:
Finnes hos færre enn 1% av alle pasienter med diabetes, men 75% av de med diagnosen har eller vil utvikle diabetes
Symptomer:
Tilstanden gir asymptomatiske skinnende hudflekker som langsomt øker i størrelse
Funn:
Hudlesjonene begynner som regel som 1-3 mm velavgrensede papler. Disse ekspanderer og blir voksaktige, atrofiske, runde/ovale plakk
Diagnostikk:
Ingen blodprøver bidrar til å stille diagnosen, men sjekk blodsukker. Diagnosen bekreftes ved biopsi
Behandling:
Kronisk sykdom med variabel progresjon. Behandling tar sikte på å bremse utviklingen. Steroider, kirurgi og laserbehandling er kosmetiske behandlingsalternativer, men behandlingen er lite tilfredsstillende
