Herpes simplex hudinfeksjon

Definisjon:
Residiverende utbrudd av små grupperte vesikler på en erytematøs bakgrunn, særlig orolabialt og genitalt, i sjeldnere tilfeller som primær gingivostomatitt
Forekomst:
I den voksne befolkningen har ca 60% antistoffer mot herpesvirus type 1, og 25-40% mot type 2
Symptomer:
Ømhet, smerte, milde parestesier eller en brennende følelse før lesjonene dukker opp på inokulasjonsstedet. Hyppigst er forkjølelsessår på leppen
Funn:
Sår og blemmedannelse, særlig på leppene og perioralt
Diagnostikk:
Aktuelle tilleggsundersøkelser kan være virusdyrkning eller PCR
Behandling:
Aktiv behandling er kun unntaksvis aktuelt, ev. antiviralt middel
