Infeksjoner med parvovirus

Definisjon:
Parvovirus B19 er assosiert med diverse infeksjoner som erythema infectiosum (5. barnesykdom), papulære purpurerupsjoner på hender og føtter, hydrops fetalis
Forekomst:
Infeksjon med parvovirus B19 er vanlig over hele verden, og de fleste som smittes med viruset, blir infisert før 15-årsalderen
Symptomer:
Parvovirus B19-infeksjoner er ofte asymptomatiske eller har milde, uspesifikke, forkjølelsesliknende symptomer
Funn:
Virusinfeksjon, eventuelt med feber og utslett, ev. asymptomatisk 
Diagnostikk:
Om labtesting er nødvendig, kan det testes på B19-spesifikke antistoffer og virus PCR
Behandling:
Ev. symptomatisk behandling
