Azoospermi

Definisjon:
Azoospermi innebærer at det ikke finnes sædceller i ejakulatet i minst to sædprøver
Forekomst:
Foreligger hos cirka 1% av alle menn og påvises hos 10-15% av alle menn med infertilitetsproblemer
Symptomer:
Sykehistorien gir ofte informasjon om mulig etiologi
Funn:
Som regel ingen funn, men se etter tegn til genetisk sykdom
Diagnostikk:
Aktuelle undersøkelser er hormonprøver og ev. standard kromosomanalyse
Behandling:
Dersom man ved utredningen finner modne sædceller, vil in vitro-fertilisering med intracytoplasmatisk spermieinjeksjon (ICSI) kunne gjennomføres på et senere tidspunkt
