Behandling av spinal stenose består i stor grad av å ta hensyn til ryggen. Operasjon kan i noen tilfeller bli aktuelt om gangdistansen blir uakseptabelt kort, ved kontinuerlige smerter og ved problemer med kontroll over urinveiene og endetarmen.

Spinal stenose

Spinal stenose er en innsnevring av spinalkanalen.  Dette kan føre til ryggsmerter med utstråling til sete, lår eller legger, eller armer dersom det trange partiet er i nakken. Prognosen tilsier at de fleste får god kontroll over plagene.
