Cervikogen hodepine

Definisjon:
Ensidig hodepine uten sideveksling der man har klare holdepunkter for at smerten stammer fra benede strukturer eller bløtvev i nakken
Forekomst:
Prevalens angis til 0,4-4% i befolkningen. Hyppigst blant kvinner
Symptomer:
Smerten starter som regel i nakken og brer seg framover til pannen, der den gjerne er mest intens. Kan også stråle til skulder og arm
Funn:
Smerten kan utløses av spesielle bevegelser eller stillinger av hodet, eller ved palpasjon eller trykk i bakhodet eller øvre del av nakken
Diagnostikk:
Tilleggsundersøkelser kan være nerveblokkade, ev. bildediagnostikk
Behandling:
Det finnes ingen dokumentert effektiv behandling ved cervikogen hodepine. Fysioterapi, ev. avspenningsøvelser, ev. medikamenter
