Definisjon:
Urinlekkasje i forbindelse med hoste, nysing eller andre aktiviteter som øker det intraabdominale trykket. Multifaktoriell årsak
Forekomst:
Prevalens blant kvinner er 5% til 15%
Symptomer:
Urinlekkasje av mindre urinmengder ved aktiviteter som øker buktrykket
Funn:
Gynekologisk undersøkelse er som regel normal
Diagnostikk:
Tilleggsundersøkelser er urinundersøkelse og eventuelt stresstest
Behandling:
Stressinkontinens hos kvinner behandles i første rekke med bekkenbunnstrening, elektrostimulering eller ved kirurgi
