Definisjon:
Neoplasmer som befinner seg i området fra leppene og til overgangen mellom den bløte og harde gane
Forekomst:
Insidensrater i 2019 var menn 15,6/100.000 og kvinner 7,7/100.000
Symptomer:
Tilstanden debuterer som regel med et smertefritt sår eller en "flekk" på leppen eller i munnhulen
Funn:
I tidlig fase er ikke-tilhelende sår eller som en rød eller hvit flekk
Diagnostikk:
Tilleggsundersøkelser er biopsi, CT og/eller MR
Behandling:
Kirurgi. Strålebehandling og kjemoterapi er ofte adjuvant behandling
