Definisjon:
Patologisk overspising, tvangsspising, "binge eating disorder". En betydelig andel har komorbid psykopatologi (50-80%)
Forekomst:
Livstidsprevalensen av "binge eating disorder" var i en studie 1,9% og 12 mnd prevalens var 0,8%
Symptomer:
Raskt inntak av store mengder mat uten kontroll over matinntaket
Funn:
Ev. overvekt, hypertensjon, diabetes, depresjon
Diagnostikk:
Tilleggsundersøkelser har liten relevans
Behandling:
Psykoterapi, ev. i kombinasjon med farmakoterapi
