Definisjon:
Infeksjonssykdom forårsaket av zikavirus. Smitteoverføring ved myggstikk.
Forekomst:
Epidemisk forekomst i Mellom- og Sør-Amerika i 2015/2016.
Symptomer:
Asymptomatisk hos fire av fem. Symptomer er feber, utslett, leddsmerter, konjunktivitt.
Funn:
 Funn: Makulopapuløst utslett, feber. God allmenntilstand. Kan gi fosterkomplikasjoner ved sykdom i svangerskap.
Diagnostikk:
Akutt sykdom bekreftes ved PCR i blod eller urin.
Behandling:
Kun symptomatisk behandling.
