Aksial spondyloartritt

Definisjon:
Kronisk, inflammatorisk tilstand i ryggskjelettet, men også i perifere ledd, enteser og ekstraartikulære strukturer. Inngår i gruppen spondyloartritter
Forekomst:
Prevalens er omtrent 0,1-0,9% i befolkningen
Symptomer:
Først og fremst preget av (morgen)stivhet, smerter, særlig lokalisert til nedre del av ryggen
Funn:
Er beskjedne i starten av sykdommen, senere utvikles stivhet i kolumna og ev. store ledd, ev. uveitt
Diagnostikk:
95% er HLA-B27 positive. Røntgenforandringer i iliasakralleddene kommer sent, men kan påvises tidlig med MR
Behandling:
Daglig fysisk aktivitet er sentralt, ev. supplert med NSAIDs. Tillegg av TNF-hemmer eller interleukinhemmer hos de med høy sykdomsaktivitet
